Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using the Pro City Maids website (“www.procitymaids.ca”; “www.procitymaids.com”) or booking any cleaning services (“Services”) offered by Pro City Maids (“us”, “we”, or “our”)

Your access to and use of the Website and our Services is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. By accessing or using the Website and/or our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the Terms, you do not have permission to access the Website or use our Services.

1.Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract to use our Website and Services. By using our Website or Services, you confirm that you meet these criteria.

2. Service Agreement

The following terms govern your relationship with Pro City Maids when you book or receive our cleaning services:

Referral Service: Pro City Maids facilitates by identifying and providing housekeeping professionals to clients. We ensure all service providers undergo appropriate vetting processes.

Service Provider Independence: The service provider you engage is independent of Pro City Maids and is responsible for the quality and completion of the services provided.

Payment and Fees: Payment is due at the time of booking. Fees for services are non-refundable, including cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled cleaning.

Cancellation Policy: Failure to provide a 24-hour cancellation notice will result in a $50 fee. If our team cannot access the premises (due to a lock-out or unavailability of the client), the full service fee will be charged.

Direct Hiring Prohibited: Clients may not directly hire Pro City Maids service providers for any private engagements for nine (9) months after the termination of services. If this occurs, clients agree to pay Pro City Maids a finder’s fee of $5,000.

3. Safety Measures

At Pro City Maids, the safety of our employees is paramount:

Weight Limits: Our team will not move objects over 35 lbs. Please relocate heavy items before we arrive if cleaning behind them is required.

Ladders & Heights: Our staff is prohibited from using ladders or standing on surfaces higher than a two-step stool.

Hazardous Materials: We do not clean areas containing hazardous materials such as bodily fluids, needles, or other dangerous substances. If our team encounters such conditions, they will vacate the premises, and you will be charged the full service fee.

4. Pest Infestation

If a pest infestation is detected (e.g., ants, termites, roaches, bedbugs), our team will stop cleaning, and you will be notified. Pro City Maids reserves the right to cancel the cleaning service if such infestations pose a safety risk to our staff.

5. Equipment & Cleaning Products

Pro City Maids provides all necessary cleaning supplies and equipment. We will not use any cleaning products or tools provided by the client unless previously agreed upon.

6. Access to Premises

Please provide access to your premises either via key or door code. If our team cannot access the property within the designated arrival window, the full-service fee will be charged.

7. Pets

If pets are on the premises, please inform us in advance. We are not responsible for pets that escape during the cleaning process.

8. Valuables and Property Protection

Please secure any valuables before the cleaning. Pro City Maids is not liable for loss or damage to unsecured or improperly anchored items (e.g., paintings, fragile objects). Clients are responsible for securing fragile or high-value items prior to cleaning.

9. Damage or Loss of Property

Damage Reporting: If damage occurs during cleaning, clients must report it within 24 hours for us to address it. Pro City Maids is insured and will cover verifiable damages.
Limitations: Pro City Maids will not be held responsible for pre-existing damage, faulty installations, improperly sealed surfaces, or loss of property unless explicitly caused by our staff.

10. Cancellations & Refunds

Cancellation Fees: Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled cleaning will incur a $50 fee. If we cannot access your premises due to lock-out or client absence, the full-service fee will be charged.
Refunds: Pro City Maids does not offer refunds for completed services. If the service is unsatisfactory, you must contact us immediately, and we will address the issue.

11. Pre- and Post-Cleaning Documentation

Pro City Maids may take before-and-after photos of your premises to document the condition and quality of the service. By booking, you consent to this documentation unless you explicitly opt out in writing.

12. Limitation of Liability

Service Interruption: Pro City Maids is not liable for any interruptions in services, including issues arising from external factors such as extreme weather, uncontrollable circumstances, or inability to access the property.

13. Clutter Management

Excessive clutter may hinder the effectiveness of our cleaning. If a cleaning requires significantly more time than estimated due to clutter, additional charges may apply.

14. COVID-19 Waiver

Pro City Maids follows all applicable COVID-19 safety protocols. However, by using our services, you acknowledge and accept any inherent risks associated with potential exposure to COVID-19. You agree to indemnify and hold Pro City Maids harmless from any claims related to COVID-19 exposure during the provision of services.

15. Changes to Terms

Pro City Maids reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. By continuing to use our services after any revisions are made, you agree to be bound by the updated Terms.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved under the jurisdiction of Ontario courts.

17. User Conduct

You agree not to use our Website or Services for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the Website or our Services. You also agree not to interfere with any other party’s use of the Website or our Services.
